In Loving Memory
Sim Manyrath
July 2, 1945 - June 9, 2019
Sim Manyrath, 73, passed away in Walla Walla on June 9, 2019. Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 The Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA.
Sim was born to Koum and Bounlay Potilat in Khammouane, Laos on July 2, 1945. Sim married Vanh Manyrath in April of 1966 in Laos. She had a contagious smile that lit up a room and her giggles echo through her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loving, compassionate, and generous to all. Her humble spirit inspired us to be like her. Sim enjoyed gardening, crocheting, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Her mind was sharp all the way to her last breath. Her last words were in Lao, translated to English, “It’s bright, I see the light.” We love you, mom, grandma, great grandma, mae, mae tou. You will forever be in our hearts.
Sim is survived by her husband, Vanh Manyrath of Walla Walla, two daughters; Seng Theriault, Syphay Manyrath Gokey, four sons; Viengkham, Lamngeun, Lamkeo, Veomany Manyrath, 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
